Support a Girl's Education in Sri Lanka
Every donation to the SLWA Education Scheme funds grants for disadvantaged women and girls in Sri Lanka. The scheme has been running since 1976 and registered as a UK charity in 1998. Your contribution goes directly to students.
Where Your Donation Goes
All donations to the SLWA Education Scheme are administered by five appointed trustees and go directly to fund educational grants in Sri Lanka. No donation is used for the Association's running costs.
The SLWA Welfare Fund
The SLWA also maintains a Welfare Fund supported by profits from its events and functions throughout the year. This fund makes donations to charities in both the UK and Sri Lanka, and responds to humanitarian appeals when needed.
Past recipients include the Heart to Heart Foundation for cardiac surgery, the Prithipura Home for children with disabilities, and the YWCA's Girl Child Project.
